Home Care FAQs
How do I obtain services?
HomeCare Advantage provides private duty Nursing (CNA & RN) services. Freedom of Choice allows HomeCare Advantage to be your Agency of choice. We accept referrals from your social worker, physician, your skilled nursing facility, hospital, rehab center or self-referral.
Upon referral for skilled services, a Registered Nurse or Therapist will meet you for an initial assessment. This assessment allows the family and client to be involved in the care planning process. A schedule is determined to meet the needs of the patient and the orders from the physician.
Upon receiving a referral for Certified Nursing Assistants or Private-Duty Nursing on a long-term care basis a Nursing Supervisor will schedule a Free RN initial assessment. At this time a plan of care is completed which best meets the family’s long-term needs, goals, and objectives. We provide up to 24-hour care with RN Supervision, as well as sleep-ins. In addition to accepting Medicaid, we also accept private insurance and most major credit cards.
Who pays for home health care services?
HomeCare Advantage accepts Medicare, Medicaid, and most commercial insurances. We are a Medicare-certified home health agency and accept Medicare as 100 percent coverage for Skilled Nursing, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, and Personal Care services only. There are no out-of-pocket deductibles or co-payment expenses for Medicare patients. Each insurance company has unique guidelines regarding home care services.
